Dan Apfel is the executive director of the Responsible Endowments Coalition, the leading voice for responsible investing in higher education. Dan has a a wide variety of experience from working with student activists to collaborating with administrators, trustees and investment consultants on implementing responsible investing at colleges and universities.

His insights on responsible investing, sustainability, and endowments have been published and cited widely, including in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Forbes, and on NPR. He has also been an advisor on many reports including, most recently, Institutional Pathways to Fossil Free Investing.
