Nation columnist Chris Hayes visits Countdown with Keith Olbermann to discuss whether Obama’s sinking approval rating is to be expected after one year of the presidency or if it is part of a set of larger frustrations toward the Obama administration. Hayes explains why Obama’s comment that “the same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office; people are angry and frustrated” is “on point.”

“There’s a general anti-incumbent mood…that when the economy is bad, and the economy is terrible…people blame the people in power,” Hayes explains. “People are going to take it out on whomever they have in front of them.”
