Instead of hobnobbing and networking with the deal makers of Washington, Harry Hanbury met with some cold shoulders and at least one threat when he tried to spend one whole day attending fundraisers on the hill. It’s estimated that members of congress spend at least a third of their time raising money for campaigns, all that time spent at parties raises the question of just how much time is left to actually run the country.
