"Facts" from the acceptance speech of Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan crumble under scrutiny.
Press Room
Nation correspondent John Nichols does not use the word "lie" lightly. But he thinks the evidence on which Paul Ryan has relied to criticize President Obama deserves that description. In this appearance on Democracy Now!, Nichols highlights the "major deceptions" in Ryan’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, such as the example of a Janesville, Wisconsin factory that closed in 2008 but which Ryan implied had shut down because of Obama and his policies.
Be sure to read Nichols’s recent post, "They Love the Lies Paul Ryan Tells."
