February 27, 2012

Why have so many public employees been accused under the Espionage Act during Obama’s presidency? What are Americans’ attitudes toward whistle-blowers? And does the Dodd-Frank Act sufficiently prevent retaliation against those who expose financial fraud? These are just some of the questions that Nation contributors Eyal Press and Jeremy Scahill, Princeton University professor Anne-Marie Slaughter and Elise Jordan, former speechwriter for Condoleezza Rice, addressed on Up with Chris Hayes this past weekend.

Eyal Press’s recent book is called Beautiful Souls: Saying No, Breaking Ranks, and Heeding the Voice of Conscience in Dark Times.
