Forty years ago this week, Robert F. Kennedy was tragically murdered just as he seemed poised to capture the Democratic nomination while running an insurgent anti-war campaign that challenged the basic way we measure progress and well-being in America. Earlier this year, the Glaser Progress Foundation, a Seattle-based foundation, released this video marking the anniversary of a famous speech in which Kennedy said the Gross Domestic Product counts “everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile.”
