Below is a listing of key UN missions, embassies and consulates for countries that the Bush Administration is leaning heavily on to secure a UN resolution for war. We need to make visible gestures of support early this week and encourage these countries to remain firm in their opposition to the proposed US/UK/Spain UN resolution that would lead to war.

If you’re part of a civic, business or civic group, try to set up meetings with UN missions, the embassies and the consulates of Chile, Mexico, Pakistan, Guinea, Cameroon and Angola early this week if you are in any of the cities where they are based. (See list below.)

– If you can’t get a quick meeting scheduled we urge you to bring or send flowers or other tokens of appreciation to the embassies along with notes of support. Alert the press of the outpouring of support to these countries from your city.

– At the very least, try to fax and e-mail strong letters of asking them to hold firm and continue resisting to the US’ coercive tactics. Remind them that the world is on the side of peace and justice.

– At the very end of this e-mail is a listing of e-mail addresses for all the Security Council Members. Send a note to each member urging them not to support a US/UK Resolution.
