Morello has experienced first hand how the people of Wisconsin are taking the narrative back from right-wing politicians.
GRITtv and The NationFrom Madison, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello speaks with GRITtv’s Laura Flanders about being truly inspired by the fact that day after day there are tens of thousands of people in the streets of Wisconsin, fighting for social justice. Morello has been performing for the crowds as his solo acoustic act, The Nightwatchman, and in this interview he describes the thrill these demonstrations have sent through the progressive world.
According to Morello, the people of Wisconsin are taking the narrative back from the right-wing and they aren’t waiting for politicians or news commentators to agree with their point of view. "The Obama Administration was elected and Democrats showed no spine whatsoever," Morello says. "Madison has set the example for the rest of the country. It’s like there’s finally people on our side standing up."
