Anna Simonton

Anna Simonton is a writer from Atlanta, now based in Minneapolis. She has worked in editorial, fundraising, and leadership roles at The Appeal, Scalawag, and Press On, a nonprofit dedicated to Southern movement journalism. She is the co-author of an acclaimed book about an infamous criminal case that scapegoated teachers for education policy failures. Anna teaches at the University of Minnesota, where she is pursuing a master's degree in creative nonfiction writing.
