Walaa Alshaer is an Egyptian documentary photographer and visual storyteller. Since 2013, she has worked on several long-term multimedia projects with various NGOs in Africa and Asia, completing photo series about orphanage communities in Uganda, displacement camps in Bangladesh and Türkiye, and coalfield villages in India.
